People actually thought CNN used holograms

The article here shows how people actually thought CNN used holograms at first glance. The scientist in the article is right though, it's not true today, maybe in a couple years from now though it will be. This attempt at using advanced computer graphics though, is just one more step into only pleasing the audience. This is what's wrong with our news: The news tries to fancy to the end-user now instead of giving the bare-bones facts in a short summary. We as a nation are being "dumbed down" by these unnecessary things. How do you feel about this?
