Really? People are okay with a one party rule?

This article here confirms that fear. I wonder what the heck are people thinking now when the word democracy is passed along. This shows how the ignorance of people is affecting our beloved country for the worse. For I have one question on my mind: Why are people hailing the Democrats as heroes when Congress has a Democrat majority which has an all-time low approval rating? If someone can clearly explain that this fact is contrary to my belief that a one-party system will doom America, please speak up.
